MUNSON STADIUM RULES & REGULATIONS

Stadium Rules

  1. NO LOITERING. This policy is designed to enhance crowd control and safety. All spectators will need to be seated in the stadium during the course of any athletic event. This change will impact students and young children who have traditionally gathered in areas around the stadium or under the bleachers.

  2. STUDENT SUPERVISION.  Student under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult to attend the game.  SMS students who are dropped off without adult supervision will be required to sit in the general admission SMS section throughout the entire game.

  3. NO OUTSIDE MUSIC/PA SYSTEMS ALLOWED IN THE STADIUM. Visitors must use the Denison I.S.D. PA system or receive prior approval through the Denison ISD Stadium Manager.

  4. ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, DRUGS, AND FIREARMS are prohibited, by law on school property.  This includes vaping devices or paraphernalia associated with the above listed items.

  5. GLASS CONTAINERS are not allowed in the stadium.

  6. INDIVIDUAL COOLERS, ICE CHESTS, LARGE FOOD OR BEVERAGE CONTAINERS are not allowed in the stadium.

  7. BACKPACKS AND LARGE BAGS are subject to search.

  8. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK is allowed in the stadium, including bottled water.

  9. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK will be sold at our stadium without approval of the Stadium Manager, including inside the gates or the stadium parking lots.

  10. ADULT PATRONS WHO LEAVE THE STADIUM will not be allowed to re-enter without visible stamp.

  11. STUDENTS are “NOT” allowed to leave stadium and return once the game has started. And if they chose to leave they are not allowed to return without paying gate ticket price.

  12. ANIMALS are not allowed in the stadium. Service dogs allowed with documentation

  13.  BICYCLES, SKATES, SKATEBOARDS, FRISBEES, DRONES, ROLLERBLADES, and BALLS OF ALL TYPES are not allowed in the stadium.

  14. AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY will be admitted onto the field before, during, or after the game.

  15. CROSSING BETWEEN SIDES will be allowed via the South gated walkway only before kickoff and during half time.  Authorized personnel only will be allowed to cross during the game.

  16. ADULT PATRONS WITHOUT TICKETS must show proper credentials (District passes, Senior Citizen passes, etc..).  Scouts, Radio, TV reporters, etc… Credentials will be available at the pass gate per the Stadium Manager.

  17. PRESS BOX access is restricted to those with prior approval of the Stadium Manager.

  18. PARKING in the stadium lots is restricted to those with approved and current Denison ISD Munson Stadium Parking Passes.  Pass and ticket must be presented in order to park unless the driver is on the designated parking list through the Stadium Manager.

 

While fun, enjoyment and school spirit are important, safety is our #1 concern here at Denison I.S.D. These rules were established with that in mind.

 

Fan Expectations

Denison ISD and its stadium team members are committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all fans, both in Munson Stadium and in its surrounding areas.  We want all fans attending our events to enjoy the experience in a responsible fashion.  When attending an event, all fans are required to refrain from the following behaviors:

 

  • Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, or illegal in nature.

  • Intoxication or other signs of impairment that results in irresponsible behavior

  • Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures

  • Jumping or climbing over chairs/rails in the stands or stadium area

  • Interference with the progress of the event (including throwing objects onto the field)

  • Loitering along the fences/walkway at the front of the bleachers/stands on the home side, in common areas below the bleachers, within the stadium grounds, or in the parking lots.

  • Verbal or physical harassment of opposing team or fans.

  • Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel.

 

Event patrons are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests and/or persons occupying their seats.  Stadium staff will promptly intervene to support an environment where event patrons, their guests, and other fans can enjoy the event free from the above behaviors.  Event patrons and guests who violate these provisions will be subject to ejection without refund and loss of ticket privileges for future events.

 

Regulations & Procedures

DRESSING ROOMS

  • Dressing rooms will open 2 ½ hours prior to game time.

  • Denison I.S.D. will NOT provide towels.

  • Denison I.S.D. is not responsible for any articles left in the dressing room before, during, or after the game.

TICKET GATES

  • Gates will open 1 hour prior to game time, unless otherwise publicized for a special event.

  • Home fans are to enter on the west side at ticket booth located to Forrest Park.

  • Home fans who have east side seats (reserved or student body) should enter through east ticket booth

  • Visiting fans are to enter on the east side at ticket booth located on S. Rusk St.

  • There are no in-and-out privileges without a hand stamp.

PRESS BOX

  • The press box will open 1½ hours prior to game time.

  • Admittance to the press box is by prior approval through the Denison ISD Stadium Manager only.  Approved persons will be listed on a posted Press Box list.

  • There is one exception:  Coaches wearing proper coaching attire do not need prior approval if they are in the press box to perform coaching duties.

  • Food in the press box is for those listed on the approved press box list and designated stadium workers ONLY.

PLAYING FIELD

  • Team warm-up areas are as follows:

  • HOME TEAM North end from 50-yard line to the end zone closest to the field

  • house.

  • VISITING TEAM South end from 50-yard line to end zone closest to the

  • scoreboard.

  • All non-athletes on the field (Cheer, Dance, Band, Color guard, etc.) must enter from the South gates. Visiting bands will enter through east gate of north parking lot and move equipment accordingly.

  • ** Tobacco, sunflower seeds, gum, confetti, or shells of any kind is strictly prohibited.  ** Failure to abide by this regulation will result in the cost of turf cleaning/repair at the offending school’s expense.

  • Absolutely NO glass bottles, cans, or food on the field. This includes cheerleaders and their support groups.

  • All equipment such as training tables, fans, and heaters must have a protective base. Please make prior arrangements with the stadium manager.

  • No live mascots are allowed.

  • No cannons or confetti will be allowed without approval from Stadium Manager. All large mechanical noisemakers, i.e., large air horns, must be on your own side and face your spectators. Noisemakers of any kind are not allowed on the field or inside the fence surrounding the field.

  • Band props must not mark or scar the field. This includes painted items as well as sharp wheels or other equipment that may damage the artificial surface.

  • Only approved personnel with can be on the field. Spectators are not allowed on the field before, during, or after the games.

  • No ice chests will be allowed in the stadium. Exceptions include the competing teams, bands, and drill teams.

  • NO paper banners or signs are allowed in the stadium, unless previously approved by the stadium manager.

  • All “run-through” signs must be vinyl or cloth. Additionally, the paint must be permanent that does not run when wet. DO NOT use painted paper.
