Library News
The mission of the Denison ISD Libraries is to provide a warm, safe, and positive environment for students to learn, grow, and explore.
We will promote and foster a love for reading while preparing students with information literacy skills that will help prepare them to be independent learners and thinkers for the 21st century.
We provide a variety of up-to-date materials to support and enrich the education of all our students, as well as support the curriculum of our teachers.
Our goal is to promote a love of reading.
Mission Statement
OCTOBER READING CHALLENGE
Our School's Learning Community
At Hyde Park we love our books and get excited about reading. Hyde Park has many online programs and links that are used within our learning community. Many of these can be accessed online at home or on devices of your own, not just housed within the traditional learning environment.
Our Hyde Park Symbaloo is a visual bookmarking tool that has links to all our favorite school websites at your fingertips.
This is our online catalog used for searching
books that are in our library and accessing
your own Destiny Discover account online.

Library Services and Beyond
At Hyde Park, we strive to serve the educational needs of each student within the library by having a weekly schedule of grade-level classes and also select times each day that are open for students to exchange books. We are a school that treasures the traditional book, and we benefit from over 10,000 in our library. However, we understand that growing great readers has evolved into a world that still includes these timeless pages and has expanded to also encompass the virtual world of learning.
